Fat Free Vegan Kitchen: Sinlessly Delicious Recipes -   I'll be honest.....I don't know that I would have even tried to be a vegan if it wasn't for Susan Voisin's outstanding blog.  Susan has taken the time to develop simple, straight-forward, delicious recipes that don't require a degree in chemistry or twenty trips to the natural food store.  While there are some ingredients that my be unfamiliar to you in some of the recipes and there may be some unconventional uses for some ingredients you've used for years......this is just really good, fat free, vegan food!  There absolutely is something here for everyone. I invite you to explore and enjoy!

A Sunny Path - This is a wonderful blog written in a great, conversational style about health, wellness and anything related that crosses the writer's mind.  I love it!  Lots of great ideas and recipes.  Well written, thoughtful and sometimes very funny.  Definately worth some time reading!

Healthy Girl's Kitchen - I stumbled across "Healthy Girl's Kitchen" while searching for vegan recipes online and what I found was the story of a woman who struggled with overeating just like me.  It was refreshing to read her story and know that I was not alone.  The blog is, of course, filled with great recipes but it's also got some great strategies for eating better, losing weight and just having an overall more normal relationship with food.  There are lots of things to explore here!

Forks Over Knives - If you have the opportunity to see "Forks Over Knives" I strongly suggest that you see it.  Nowhere else have I seen such a common sense and rational exploation of the diet/health relationship than in this film.  This is not your ordinary "we should eat better" movie. "Forks Over Knives" takes you right to the heart of our issues with food in North America and shows in very clear terms the health benefits of a plant based diet over one built around meat and dairy.  Even if you have never considered changing to a plant based diet you will think differently about food after watching this film.

Prevent And Reverse Heart Disease - This is the book that started an adventure for me. Two years ago I was invited to a party along with some friends who were eating Dr. Esselstyn's plant-based, no oil diet and I spend hours trying to figure out what food I could bring to the party that they could eat.  A year later the same friends gave me this book when Brennis was just home from his surgery.  Now I could spend all day in the kitchen cooking and baking recipes that adhere to the Doctor's strict but common-sense guidelines.  You may think that this is some far-fetched stuff like I did a year ago but the science here is irrefutable.  Lots of stories and recipes.  Highly recommended!

100 Days Of Real Food - I am excited that people are starting to be more conscious of what they are eating.  One of the best, most honest examples of people making a huge shift in their eating is "100 Days Of Real Food".  This is a real family who took the challenge to eat only "real" food for 100 days and then wrote about it in a clear, frank, interesting blog.  I love that they are learning as they go and you get to go on the journey with them.  Lots of great recipes, challenges and information  on this blog.  Go visit!
